- Signs of Cracked Paw Pads. Cracked paw pads usually start with dryness. If your dog's paws are unusually dry and perhaps even discolored, it's time to give it some special attention to make sure it doesn't get any worse. But if you notice your dog limping or licking its paws compulsively, that's a sure sign of a problem.
- According to internet legend, crack squirrels have terrorised residents in New York and Washington. But is the Brixton crack squirrel real or an urban myth? The Guardian began its search for the.

Chapter 3: Chapter 2
Summary:
Peter finds a clump of fur that belongs to Tony. The sorcerer and the teen set off to find Tony. Once they have, Stephen consults a friend on a hard decision.
Chapter Text
Peter had eventually found a clump of the older cat's fur and rushed to give it to Stephen. Everything blurred after that for the sorcerer as he performed a few spells to find the Iron clad genius. All he remembered was hidden terror as the spell tracked the male to Siberia. What had he been doing in Siberia? Stephen had quickly pushed those thoughts away, trying to focus on the matter at hand. They had to get to the cat before something possibly happened to him. The sorcerer secretly and silently prayed that the longhair was safe and uninjured, but the doctor inside of him told him otherwise. That if the cat left many hours ago and fell off the grid, then something had happened to the engineer and it did not look good at all.
Once they had finally found the cat, Stephen nearly covered his muzzle in shock and fear. The sleek grey cat shivered as the cold bit at him. Azure eyes looked over to Peter, clad in his Spider-Cat suit. The cat had his mask off, pain and fear vibrant in his hazel eyes. Stephen forced his attention back to the unconscious cat on the frozen ground ahead of them. His paws lead him shakily forwards, towards the feline.

He had run a quick diagnostic spell on the somewhat smaller male, doing his best not to curse in front of the vigilante not far from him. But his tongue betrayed him and the curses quietly rolled off. He settled on his haunches, thinking it over. The cat's legs were fine, but the suit as a whole was too heavy to move. If they picked him up wrong it could send his already critical condition to fatal. If he removed the metal around his legs, the cold would get to him quicker. They would need to move him out of here fast if they didn't want him slipping further towards a fatal condition.
A gasp brought to his ears drew his attention towards the young feline who had wandered slightly off from the sorcerer and the unconscious engineer. Azure eyes quickly found the item that brought horror to the teen's face. Sony icd px720 driver windows 10. A shield. made of vibranium and sporting red, white and blue colours with a silver star in the centre. Stephen paused, recognizing the shield belonged to Captain America. He connected the dots between the shield and the cat at his paws. Horror slowly filled his eyes but he bit it down.
'N-no. how could he.. how could he do this.?' Peter whispered, backing away from the shield as panic and tears filled his hazel eyes. As if the kitten's nightmares had come true. Stephen bit his lip. 'Come on, Peter. We need to get Tony out of here and quickly.' His voice seemed to break the teen out of his thoughts. The cat slowly trekking over. 'O- Okay.' He stuttered.
And so they did such that. Stephen had opened a portal, and then focused on taking the metal suit away from the genius' four legs. It blurred from then on, he vaguely remembered Peter picking the genius up carefully and carrying the older cat through the portal. Stephen had been about to leave, but turned and grabbed the vibranium shield before stepping through the portal.
Eyetv mac torrent. It turned out the sorcerer had opened a portal to the hospital he used to work at. The male honestly didn't care if other animals were spooked by the sudden portal. He vaguely noticed Peter had his mask back on as the genius was taken from their hands and rushed off.
From then on, time seemed to tick by slowly for the sorcerer. He waited with Peter as they awaited results from the doctors. He knew it wasn't going to be good at all, he silently suspected they probably rushed the cat into surgery. As the long legged grey cat sit there in the silence, he decided to leave.
Now of course he wouldn't leave the terrified silent kitten beside him, but he did leave his physical form after assuring he wouldn't faceplant Into the floor from his chair. The astral form of the grey cat watched the kitten for a moment, deciding that he was too zoned out to realize. He turned and pulled himself into the astral plane.
It wasn't long before the grey cat's astral form appeared beside a dark brown cat reading books in an ancient looking library. The brown cat jumped as the astral form became visible. 'Stephen! What are you doing here? I thought you were busy-' The brown cat was cut off. 'I have a dilemma, Wong.' The brown cat surveyed the sorcerer before twitching an ear and responding. 'Don't you always?'
Stephen set his scarred paws on the desk, staring Wong down. 'This is a serious one, Wong. A decision between life and death for someone. I need an answer quickly and I need your opinion. Now.' His baritone voice was completely serious, which shut down all of the brown cat's sarcasm. 'What's happened?' He pried.
The grey cat sighed. 'Tony Stark seems to have gotten into a fight with Steve Rogers, probably about the whole Accords situation.' 'And?' Wong prompted. 'And the blond bastard shoved his shield into the cat's chest, possibly fatally injuring him. Broken sternum, broken ribs. A lot of broken bones, Wong.' Stephen grunted out, twitching his white tipped tail behind himself.
The other sorcerer shifted in his seat, silently observing the Sorcerer Supreme. 'Since when have you cared about Tony Stark?' He questioned. 'Since a teenager showed up at the sanctum's door earlier asking for help to find him. I have my suspicions on that one, but I'm not going to leave a kid without a guardian if I can.' Stephen practically growled out, but calmed himself just as quickly. Storing the anger away. Now was not the time for him to get angry and blow a fuse.
Wong made an expression, leaning back in his chair. 'And how do you plan to help him out?' Stephen's azure eyes glanced to the time stone hanging from his neck. 'Stephen.' Wong narrowed his dark eyes at the sorcerer. 'I have to, Wong. I won't turn back time on his injuries fully. just enough so he won't be in critical condition.' Wong stared at him, debating mentally. 'This could be really dangerous.' He said what they both knew. 'I know. but the look in that kid's eyes, Wong.' A smirk grew over the other cat's face, and Stephen glared at him.
A few tense moments ticked by, making the sorcerer supreme shift uneasily in his place. The astral projection of the grey cat watching Wong carefully. 'Okay. Go ahead.' The librarian then turned his attention back to the book in front of him.
Stephen sighed quietly. 'I'll be back later. Keep an eye over the sanctum.' The astral form of the cat went to slip back into the astral plane. 'Don't I always.' He heard Wong quietly snark. The sorcerer brushed it off for now.
He had a man to go save. For the sake of the kid.

Stephen's physical form jerked back to life as his astral form rejoined. His azure eyes blinked open and he righted himself. The tabby next to him had startled at the sudden movements. 'Dr. Strange? A- Are you okay..? Your heart beat slowed d-down.' Peter stuttered, wide eyes staring at the sorcerer.
The sorcerer gave a tight smile to the young cat as he jumped off his seat. 'Perfectly fine, Peter. I just had to check in with someone.' At the confused look of the cat, he forced down a chuckle. 'Astral projection.' This seemed to deepen Peter's confusion, but Stephen shrugged it off as a bright orange and white tabby strode towards them. Wearing a white doctor's coat. 'Christine.' Stephen greeted.
'Stephen. Mr. Parker, I have news on Mr. Stark.' Christine paused, looking at the two. She recognized the outfit Stephen was wearing and refrained from making a comment about the apparent cult he joined. Peter however sat straighter in his chair, a small hopeful glint in his eyes. 'Is he. Is he okay?'
Christine, otherwise known as Dr. Palmer, shifted where she stood. 'Mr. Stark. he's in critical condition. We were able to get the suit off of him, but severe damage has been done to his sternum and ribs. He's lucky to have escaped puncturing his lungs, but it won't take long in this state.' She answered, watching the distraught look form over the kitten's face. 'We're unsure if he'll make it very long in this condition. Would probably take a miracle to heal all of that properly.'
Stephen decided to interject at that moment. 'Actually, I might just have something that could save him.' He muttered quietly, making Christine and Peter look to him quizzically. 'R- Really? You would do that?' Peter nearly whispered. Christine, on the other hand, looked skeptical. 'And what would that be, Dr. Strange?'
'The time stone. Take me to him.' Stephen stood taller, confident in his ways. Christine only seemed to grow even more skeptical, but turned to lead the two cats. 'Come with me, then.' She sighed.
Peter leapt off his chair, scrambling after the two older cats. He was hopeful, but scared. What if his dad died? What if the.. time stone didn't work to help his dad?.
What if Stephen was bluffing?
Stephen looked behind him to find Peter's face twisted into fear, hazel eyes watching the sorcerer. His eyes glistened with hopefulness. Azure eyes turned to face forwards again, stealing himself as Christine lead them into the Stark's hospital room. He was hooked up to many machines, the metal suit that once encased the feline nowhere to be seen.
'Here he is. Do your weird magic cult stuff.' Christine backed off to stand in the corner.
Peter awkwardly shuffled towards the female, sitting by her. His hazel eyes never left the broken and beaten form of his dad. Breath hitching the slightest. His ears pinned back on his head. He didn't want to trust Stephen near his father. especially what Stev- Rogers did. But if it could possibly save his dad, he would kick his anxiety away.
Stephen strode forwards on slightly shaky paws. He steeled himself mentally, encouraging his physical body to calm down enough so he could perform the spell. He raised himself onto his hind legs, the cloak steadying him and helping balance him.
First, he opened the eye of Agamotto. Next he focused on the unconscious, beaten and broken form of Tony Stark.
He inhaled, then exhaled. Drowning out the rest of the room as he began to perform what was needed to keep the longhair alive on this Earth.
Notes:
Oh Stephen, you're rough and tough on the outside, a squishy marshmallow on the inside.
Despite how common North American tree squirrels are in many cities, neighborhoods and outdoor spaces, a number of misconceptions exist about these little critters.
One is that the Eastern gray squirrel, Eastern fox squirrel, and Northern or Southern flying squirrels hibernate during the winter. They do not. (However, most ground squirrels — like the California ground squirrel — do take a long snooze during the colder months.)

Another misconception: Tree squirrels store their food — tree fruit, like acorns — in their nests or dens to snack on all winter. They don't do that either.
In fact, the process by which tree squirrels keep themselves fed during the winter is a bit more complex and active than stocking the ol' 'pantry' at home, and researchers are learning that it suggests some advanced memory skills.
A new study — from professors in the Department of Psychology at University of California at Berkeley, and published in the September issue of the journal Royal Society of Open Science — claims that tree squirrels use a mnemonic technique called 'spatial chunking' to sort out and bury their nut scores by size, type, and perhaps nutritional value and taste. When they are hungry later, it is theorized, they can remember where to find what they want.
But let's back up a little. First, it's important to know that both the Eastern gray and Eastern fox squirrels dine on a varying menu of seeds, nuts, acorns, tree buds, berries, leaves, parts of pinecones, and other food some of us don't like to think about (bird eggs and nestlings), as well as the occasional slice of found pizza. Some of that stuff they eat right away; the rest they take to the nest or den for later.
But when winter approaches, squirrels are faced with a challenge: They know instinctively that food sources will soon be scarce, so they gather all the food they'll need, while also keeping themselves fed day to day. That's why they're so busy in the fall, when Mother Nature has made sure that all the acorns have fallen from the trees.
Second, Eastern gray and Eastern fox squirrels are 'scatter hoarders,' which means pretty much what it sounds like — they hoard their food, and scatter it in locations where they can easily access it. That's usually close to the tree holding their nest or den, but they often expand into areas of 7 acres (2.8 hectares). And rather than leaving their goods aboveground where other squirrels can steal them, they bury them — this is called 'caching' — about an inch (2.5 centimeters) under the soil. Squirrels are known to crack open a nut before burying it, to keep it from germinating.
When it comes time to eat, they forage for the nuts they buried. While squirrels possess a strong sense of smell, which allows them to sniff out nuts from under a blanket of dirt, researchers have long noticed evidence of strategic intelligence in the placement of their food. For instance, one study in 2008 reported that Eastern gray squirrels engage in 'deceptive caching' — they dig a hole, pretend to throw the acorn in (while holding it in their mouth), cover up the empty hole, and run off to another secret-stash place. They do this, it was suggested, to fool other squirrels who might be watching.
Now this: The latest study by Mikel M. Delgado and Lucia F. Jacobs, professors at UC Berkeley indicates more complex thinking behind the caching. In field experiments conducted over 19 months from 2012 to 2014, researchers fed 45 'marked, free-ranging' Eastern fox squirrels one nut at a time — 16 total for each squirrel — varying the type of nut (almonds, hazelnuts, pecans and walnuts). If the squirrels didn't eat the nuts right away, researchers tracked through GPS where the squirrels subsequently buried the prizes.
What they found showed evidence of 'spatial chunking.' In other words, the squirrels put specific nuts in similar places to help them remember what nuts were where (i.e., almonds were placed in one general area, hazelnuts another, pizza another). No, wait, pizza was not involved in this study. But you get the point.
This mnemonic strategy has also been seen in rats. The findings, researchers write in the study, show that 'a scatter hoarder could employ spatial chunking during cache distribution as a cognitive strategy to decrease memory load and hence increase accuracy of retrieval.'
Squirrels have a lot to think about, in other words, and they need all the memory tricks they can get.
At least one other researcher — the guy who figured out squirrels were fake-burying nuts in the above-referenced 2008 study — agrees with the new findings.
'I .. find the results consistent with some of my studies and those of others in which we are learning how involved the scatter-hoarding process is for tree squirrels,' Michael A. Steele, a biology professor at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, says in an email. 'Squirrels are certainly well adapted to solve foraging and caching problems well beyond most people's greatest expectations.'
The findings, Steele says, can be translated to Eastern gray squirrels, who share similar feeding habits to fox squirrels.
'We know .. that gray squirrels selectively move more valuable seeds/nuts to sites in the open where predation risks are higher but pilferage risks [from other squirrels] are lower,' Steele says. 'This means squirrels assess seed/nut quality and trade off some risk of predation to secure seeds in sites.' Free drama korea hello ghost lyrics.
The Berkeley study took into account, among other variables, the sex of the squirrels in the experiment, the order in which the nuts were received by the squirrels, and the weight and nutritional value of each nut.
